History

A family-owned company, A.Barbosa began trading in 1991, choosing as its raw material one of nature's noblest gifts: wood.

In its early years, A.Barbosa focused exclusively on trading. Over time, keeping pace with the market, the company grew and modernised, acquiring new facilities, renewing its image and opening new areas of business.

In 2008, in response to new market demands and growing interest in an ever wider range of products, A.Barbosa went through a decisive transformation. That year it acquired a sawmill which, thanks to the company's dedication and drive, grew into a modern wood processing industry.

Today, A.Barbosa produces a wide range of joinery products, while remaining committed to quality, innovation and customer satisfaction.

Facilities

A.Barbosa has its own facilities in Paredes, in the district of Porto, Portugal.

Industry, warehouse and offices in Astromil, covering 30,000 m², home to a wood processing unit with dedicated sawing, drying and storage areas.

Certification

Attentive to market trends and customer needs, A.Barbosa invested in improving its products and services and, in 2011, implemented the NP EN ISO 9001:2008 standard.

Its solid wood flooring and cladding currently carry the CE marking, and the company holds Quality certification under the standard mentioned above.
